We have recently become aware of a fraudulent scheme involving a third party using a domain name that is very similar to our own and impersonating our company.

The scammers are contacting accountancy firms by telephone, claiming to represent our business and stating that they are looking to appoint a new accountant. After the initial call, they send a follow-up email which appears legitimate and contains a link to what they describe as financial information or company records.

How to protect yourself

• Carefully check the sender's email address and domain name.
• Do not click on links or open attachments from unexpected emails.

• If you believe you may have interacted with one of these emails, contact your IT provider immediately and run appropriate security checks.
